Sites Dashboard is only available in release 4.11 (Atria) or later
Sites refer to a separate system. This can be a site in the same data center or across different locations. A site can have multiple Clusters. A tenant is not considered a site.
Sites Dashboard is a tool used to manage all of your VergeOS sites in one place. Every site has access to the Sites Dashboard which allows you to configure the relationships between the sites. This is designed as a mesh network, so there is no central site where everything has to be set up and accessed.
A Site Sync is a sync setup between two sites. This is used to transfer snapshots between sites and supports the ability to have a repair server.
A Repair Server provides a potential repair mechanism after a system experiences a problem that extends beyond its redundancy tolerance (e.g. simultaneous, multiple drive failures spanning multiple nodes). Typically, a Repair Server is a sync destination that contains a fairly recent snapshot of the given system. A Repair Server will automatically attempt to pull back any needed blocks from the remote system, potentially avoiding the need to roll back using a snapshot.
Geo Location refers to the geographic location of a site. It is usually defined by the latitude and longitude coordinates of the site.
For the purpose of this training only, a Legacy Site is a site that is running a release of VergeOS that is older than 4.11. With 4.11 came a lot of new features to manage sites. Legacy Sites can only be set up as site syncs for transferring snapshots. You can also manually enter a Geo Location to place the Legacy site on the map. Legacy sites cannot have custom logos or colors.
